Third Workshop

The 3rd Research Workshop brings together academics and researchers to discuss various aspects related to Global Value Chains (GVCs), including trade, competitiveness, innovation policy, and environmental strategies. Speakers from various universities present their research findings on topics such as the transition of mediterranean economies to export-led growth, the participation and sophistication of European food sectors in GVCs, and the impact of innovation capabilities from institutional changes in Costa Rica's pineapple industry.
The workshop also addresses environmental considerations within GVCs, examining the evolution of Costa Rica's coffee value chain, the role of field-configuring events in environmental upgrading, the impact of green investments on U.S. GVCs, and eco-innovation strategies in Colombia.
The event is chaired by distinguished professors from the National University of Costa Rica and the National Technical University of Athens, ensuring a well-facilitated discussion and exchange of ideas.
