Skills Development Workshop on Research Ethics

This Skills Development Workshop promised an engaging and educational experience for participants
interested in the ethical dimensions of academic research among the upcoming generation of scholars.
It is structured to delve into the crucial aspects of research ethics, scientific integrity, and the moral conduct
expected within the academic community.
Charles-Clemens Rüling’s aimed to demystify the principles of research ethics, followed by a unique
perspective on the ethical challenges faced by journal editors, presented by Ben Martin.
Lorenzo Zirulia's session on scientific integrity in data collection and analysis sought to equip researchers with
the knowledge to uphold rigorous standards in their scholarly work.
The afternoon sessions transitioned to a practical aspect, focusing on meeting the standards of journals on ethics
and integrity with esteemed editors, giving participants a rare glimpse into the publication process.
